I swapped out the stock ESC for a Hobbywing EZrun 35A i'd bought for $25 or so in 2013 and never used.
NOTE: Not yet fully updated for the Reflex 14B Kit version
The Reflex 14 series came out in October 2018 with the 14B and 14T. Later, they added the 14B Ongaro and Gamma editions, the 14MT, and the 14R Hoonicorn/Hoonitruck. There is no difference between the 14B original RTR and newer 14B RTR versions except for moving the ESC/Receiver locations. The 14T has a truggy body and uses the buggy rear tires in front and rear.
The 14MT has metal diff ring gears instead of plastic stock, and uses the 14R chassis and a few other 14R parts, summarized below.

The Reflex 14 series is known for being weak in the center diff area, leading to things like broken spur gears. There are a number of reasons for this weakness,like the unique motor mount design and the lack of a center chassis brace.
However, one fixable solution is to populate where a bearing has been omitted from the center diff. This may not fully solve your issues, but it helps! People have reported receiving good support from TA when they are contacted, so give that a shot!
The Reflex 14 uses 3 sizes of bearings in the entire vehicle, available as part #21512:The Reflex series uses standard 12mm hexes and is compatible with a large variety of wheels and tires. But which are actually a good fit?

on the 14B/14T TA says the battery tray is 100 x 30 x 20mm
on the 14R/14MT TA reports the battery tray is 114 x 33 x 18mm
You can also remove the battery holders and use heavy duty velcro, which allows for a much larger battery. Any battery shorter than 80mm can be wider (maybe up to 40mm?) without removing anything
My measurement of the 14B/14T 21500 battery tray is 103mm x 32mm x 20mm
